Description
This is a direct position with a leading medical device manufacturer.
Our client is seeking to automate part handling on their production
floor and is seeking an engineer with a strong background in robotics.
This is a hands-on position and the ideal candidate will be familiar
with the entire process of automation from design and vendor selection
through implementation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works independently or as part of a team to design, develop, fabricate and implement automated manufacturing systems.
Coordinates fabrication activities with suppliers.
Organizes and coordinates the planning and activities required.
Provides aggressive leadership to achieve the automation goals of the company.
Design, develop, fabricate and implement automated manufacturing systems.
Coordinate fabrication activities pertaining to automation details with outside suppliers.
Identify and institute state of the art manufacturing technologies.
Provide leadership, organization, coordination and planning to the automation endeavors throughout the plant.
Institute continuous process automation improvements to existing operations.
Performs special projects or other duties as assigned.
Diligently participate in our compliance program-related activities as denoted by supervisor or Chief Compliance Officer.
Requirements
BS
Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology
or a minimum of 6-8 years experience designing, developing and
implementing automated manufacturing systems with 5 years experience in
a computer controlled (i.e.: CNC or PLC) machining environment.
Must have strong background with Robotics
Experience with Pro-E preferred
